Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Dr Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi has welcomed the renewal of Project Masam for an additional year, describing it as a long-term investment in the lives and future of the Yemeni people.
In a post on his X account, President Al-Alimi praised the pioneering role of the project, noting that it has helped save thousands of lives from landmines planted by the Iran-backed Houthi militias. He stressed that these mines will remain among the gravest violations and crimes committed by the militias against the Yemeni people.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council described the renewal of Project Masam as a long-term investment in the lives and future of Yemenis, as well as a reflection of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s enduring humanitarian support for Yemen and its people under all circumstances.
He expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leadership, headed by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for renewing the Masam Project’s contract for a further year, describing the decision as an important contribution to the safety and future of the Yemeni people.
