Project Masam has announced with deep sadness the passing of Engineer Salem Mohammed Ahmed, a member of demining Team 7, following a heart attack.
Salem served for several years as part of Project Masam’s humanitarian Mine Action operations in Yemen, working alongside his colleagues to clear landmines, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and unexploded ordnance (UXO) from contaminated areas across the country.
Throughout his service, he made an important contribution to protecting civilians from explosive threats and helping restore safety and normal life to communities affected by conflict.
Project Masam extends its sincere condolences to Salem’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time, honouring his dedication and service to the project’s humanitarian mission.
