Yemenis remained voiceless, their representation was monopolized by sheikhs, influential people, and tribal leaders. Until February 11, 2011, which was a milestone in Yemen’s history, and for the first time the Yemenis voices rose to remind the ruling elite and cried out loudly: “We are the people”.

The Yemeni people have shown the world their yearning for a new Yemen, which they expressed in their famous slogan in the revolution squares: “The people want a new Yemen.” This revolution represented an irreplaceable opportunity for the Houthis to improve their image, integrate into society and accept its path for change. But the following events and the disclosure of their truth to those who did not know them by their alliance later with those who people revolted against, showed that the Houthis were not really with the people, but rather they have a project completely different to the Yemenis aspirations by reducing the rule to a certain race with the advantage of superiority over others, empowered by known external support.

By turning against the homeland and its legitimacy, and giving priority to their narrow interests at the expense of their country, they created a false authority by establishing a republic of fear and terror. This group cannot see Yemen except through the lens of terrorizing and stomping its people.

Six years passed since the Houthi terrorist militia’s coup against the legitimate authority, during which the Yemenis have suffered woes, and the country has entered into a continuous cycle of conflict that is still raging in most areas led by mines and Houthi explosives that have engulfed hearts with fire. Mothers have been deprived of seeing their children grow up before their eyes, the children’s smile has been stolen after their limbs were amputated leaving them unable to live like their peers on this planet, the childhood of many was uprooted and their bodies were thrown in dust, which became the warm embrace for them after this group abandoned its humanity and turned into monsters devouring everything on the land of this good country.

Several reports of international human rights organizations have unanimously agreed that the Houthis deliberately planted this huge amount of mines and trapped citizens houses and farms, causing death and maiming of thousands, which impeded the return of a large number of displaced people to their homes, and the disruption of life in a number of liberated provinces only in order to establish a rule based on their hateful ideas that serves the interest of their ally.

Yemen has fallen into a mine trap set by betrayal hands, so the news of falling victims has become the daily news for Yemenis. Their wounds do not heal, and they do not know a way to reduce their pain.

It is an open wound since the shadow of this group surfaced on the Yemeni reality. Therefore, foreign, Arab organizations and military forces units opposing the Houthi militia are working in Yemen to clear mines from the liberated areas. Thousands of explosive cans are destroyed every month while work continues in discovering this killer sites who is lying in the earth crust awaiting new victims.

Project Masam comes at the forefront of these projects, as it not only work to clear Yemeni lands of mines, but also tries to set up a Yemeni defense mechanism by transferring expertise to Yemeni cadres.

During the fourth week of December, project teams were able to clear 1,352 mines, unexploded ordnance and explosive devices, in addition to clearing 227710 square meters, bringing the total of cleared mines in December to 5820.

Project Masam carried out an operation to destroy and detonate 250 mines that had been planted by the Houthi militia in roads and populated areas in Khub Washaf directorate, north of Al-Jawf governorate.

The process of ridding Yemen of mines will take several years, so Masam teams consider themselves in conflict with time, while they are working to remove this epidemic from the liberated areas, other mines are still planted on the opposite side, which requires a firm stance to force these putschists to stop their ritualism criminality towards Civilians.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_widget_sidebar show_bg=”false” sidebar_id=”sidebar_1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1523980243435{background-color: #bfbfbf !important;border-radius: 20px !important;}”][vc_column css_animation=”slideInLeft” width=”1/6″ css=”.vc_custom_1524347545394{background-color: #a3a3a3 !important;border-radius: 15px !important;}”][vc_column_text] News [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”5/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full” alignment=”right” css=”.vc_custom_1524156224953{margin-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1609275265230{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #b5b5b5 !important;border-radius: 15px !important;}”]For many years, Yemenis remained voiceless, their representation was monopolized by sheikhs, influential people, and tribal leaders.
