{"id":19551,"date":"2023-03-23T12:27:35","date_gmt":"2023-03-23T12:27:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.projectmasam.com\/eng\/?p=19551"},"modified":"2023-03-23T16:53:08","modified_gmt":"2023-03-23T16:53:08","slug":"project-masam-landmine-clearance-efforts-unprecedented-in-yemen-says-taiz-official","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projectmasam.com\/eng\/project-masam-landmine-clearance-efforts-unprecedented-in-yemen-says-taiz-official\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Masam landmine clearance efforts &#8216;unprecedented&#8217; in Yemen, says Taiz official"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>After Project Masam detonated 20 landmines and unexploded ordnance in Yemen in the Al-Hariqiya area in the District of Dhubab, the governorate of Taiz this week, its clearance operations have brought life back to areas deserted because of landmines, according to a local official.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The leader of Masam Team 29 said that the demolition operation, carried out by Masam\u2019s Special Task Team, included five anti-tank mines and 15 UXO.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In an interview, the Director General of Jabal Habashi District, Fares al-Maliki, stated that Project Masam brought back prosperity and joy to his area after landmines were cleared.<\/div>\n<div>This included the Al-Shaab School in Akkad village, which had been deserted after being completely booby-trapped and has now been re-opened to welcome students and teachers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Al-Maliki added that Project Masam&#8217;s achievements are unprecedented in Yemen and he claimed they will go down in Yemeni collective memory.
