Project Masam has announced that its demining teams have cleared 3,699 explosive devices – including landmines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) – during June 2025 up to the 20th.<\/p>\n
According to Project Masam\u2019s Operations Room, the teams removed 1,243 explosive items in the week of 14\u201320 June, including four anti-personnel mines, 57 anti-tank mines, and 1,182 UXO. No IEDs were reported during this week.<\/p>\n
In terms of land area, the teams cleared 163,539 square metres during that same period, bringing the total area cleared so far in June 2025 to 315,710 square metres.<\/p>\n
Since the launch of Project Masam in June 2018, its teams have cleared 501,243 explosive devices in total. This includes 6,802 anti-personnel mines, 146,712 anti-tank mines, 339,485 UXO, and 8,240 IEDs. The total area of land cleared to date now stands at 67,748,706 square metres.<\/p>\n
